Calm Winter Morning

There was supposed to be those big slow-falling snow flakes in this image, but they were gone when I got there, and didn't return until I was home again.. Still, it didn't turn out too bad i think.

This is the first image I post from my Samyang 85mm 1:1.4. I have the one with automatic aperture

I bought it used, and broken, and it broke more after I got it, before I could test it any. When I got it, the aperture ring was very slow moving around f/16-f/22, and the A-setting didn't work. Then suddenly it got all loose, and I realized the aperture blades and the ring was disconnected from each other, and a small pin fell out of the lens.

I contacted foto-tip.pl, which I know sell Samyang, they replied very quickly and told me they could fix it. I shipped it, and customs in Norway used about 10 days to get it to Poland, then something was wrong at the Polish customs, so it stayed there for about 20 days, but when I asked foto-tip.pl if they knew what was going on, cause I don't read Polish, and couldn't understand the tracking website, nor could I select the text to get it translated by Google Translate, and there were special characters I didn't find when I was going to copy the text by writing it, and they fixed whatever was wrong and got the lens shortly after.

Then they fixed it very quickly, shipped it the following Saturday and I had it the Monday after (yeah, three days to get back to me, just crazy fast I'm still in shock over it). When I got it, it was in perfect condition and working like a charm.

It's a beautiful lens! And foto-tip.pl has awesome customer service!

I'll be buying my Samyang 8mm 1:3.5 from them!
